1. Inspect your storage space for cleanliness and to make sure the door is functioning properly. 2. Determine the packing accessories you need, we have everything available for your packing needs. 3. Fill your containers to capacity, half full or bulging cartons may tip or colllapse. 4. Consider tempature-controlled storage for wood furniture and other items that are sensitive to moisture. 5. Don’t store items that may freeze and break in standard storage. 6. Store items you will access frequently closest to the door. 7. Leave an aisle through your unit if you will access your belongings frequently. 8. Store clothing, drapes and fabrics on non-rusting hangers. 9. Label all boxes clearly and keep a list of all items in storage. 10. Always store with a member of the Self Storage Association. Look for the SSA logo. What not to store…
Some items cannot be stored by Monroe Self Storage because they are hazardous. These items include flammable items (paint, varnish, paint thinner, kerosene, oil, gasoline, etc.), corrosives, explosives, matches, lighters, fireworks, furniture polish and other items deemed toxic or dangerous by state and federal law.
So what can I store?...You can store and organize practically anything, almost regardless of size, from filing cabinets to fish tanks, Christmas decorations to computers, beds to bicycles and Granny's china to garden furniture.
